I am a contemporary fine art landscape and seascape artist working with photography and currently located on Orkney, a sea- and windswept archipelago off the north coast of Scotland, Great Britain.

I'm fascinated with the echoes we leave on our earth and I am currently working on a series of images in connection with Scapa Flow; a strategically vital harbour in the defence of Britain during the two world wars. Due to the remote location, much of the architecture still stands.

Orkney is a land of mythology - the ancient past can be seen at so many places, and yet we're at the forefront of modern renewable energy trials. We have a maritime climate that rarely drops below freezing point, yet we're at the same latitude as Oslo, St Petersburg and the southern tip of Greenland. We're low-lying, yet our cliffs are some of the most spectacular in the world - terrible storms have carved and shattered and shaped them - and it is these that are so fascinating to photograph.
